Taking a Stand

In the early 1900s, the friends of João Pernambuco took a stand for him. They were afraid that his job at the steel foundry in Rio de Janeiro could injure his hands and destroy his ability to play. They recognized his immense talent and found a safer job for him: laying cobblestones on the streets of Rio! He went on to have a great influence on all of Brazilian music, including composers such as Villa-Lobos and Gnattali, and guitarists such as Garoto. He even influenced Django Reinhardt. None of his beautiful music would be with us if his friends had not taken that stand.

Balanced Guitar takes a stand for guitar students by generating health, fun and years of beautiful music in their lives as musicians. We extend this opportunity to you: to be a stand for the beauty that these musicians can bring to the world. Please give as much as you want and below are some figures that come with perks for you!
