Intermediate Guitar Level I
Students learn to play barre chords and work on improvising the Rumba and the Blues, with an introduction to arpeggios for improvisation and jazz chords. Students choose the repertoire.

Intermediate Guitar Level II: the blues
A deep dive into blues, exploring style, repertoire, licks, all 5 patterns of the pentatonic scale, the dominant pentatonic and the mixolydian scales. Focusing on the music of BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, early blues and ragtime players, and the music students chose, with attention to the blues behind all forms of popular music.
