Theory on Frets
A college level course that applies music theory to the guitar fretboard. Relevant for all string players.
I take students through the fundamentals of theory and show how it applies to the guitar. The guitar seen through theory has so many interesting patterns and advantages to learning scales and arpeggios. My goal is to make things easy. We also go a bit beyond fundamentals into chord progressions and voice leading. Pre-requisite for Harmony class.
Learn how to write music and all the rich intricacies of music theory while building your knowledge of the guitar.
Intervals, scales, modes, triads, seventh chords, diatonic chords, chord progressions and more!
Mondays from 4:30-5:30pm ET (1:30-2:30 PT) from Sept 12 to Nov 28, 2022.
Cost: $500 for 10 sessions if paid by September 19, $60 per class after September 19 or to pay per class.
NOTE: You may pay after taking the first two classes to see if it's a fit.
